Happy to help. I didn't even realize that AC Infinity also just makes just the fans, that may be a better ready to go option. I was only familiar with the full width units....

Really good info and links. It's good to know where the internal fan is. I'm sure many other people will find this helpful as well.

It should be pulling out, you don't want to fight the built in fan when it kicks on. I have some simple computer fans (I build PC's so I have lots just laying around) and just used a PC>USB adapter...

Do you have a recommended fan? Should it be pulling air out rather than blowing down? On what section of the top of the 7100 receiver should it be placed?

Yep, that's what I did with my old Panny. It had a very common MOSFET failure due to overheating, mine never failed but I ran an always on fan on it for over 20 years.

Yup, that's been my experience. Still rocking an onkyo nr626 with a usb fan on top to pull the heat out of the unit. Its powered by the onkyo's usb port so it comes on when the receiver powers on. I...

Current generation seem to have less issues according to the forums. Time will tell though. I will be adding a fan to the top of mine as the issues seem to be largely due to overheating capacitors...

Ive used most RC's including these two, yes both implemented properly Dirac generally would be preferred. That's a very broad statement and gets very confusing from there, this discussion is a...

I haven't tried either but from what I've read most people that have used both extensively prefer Dirac even with it's limitations, it does seem to take more time to set up though. While the 3800...

Did Onkyo ever fix their HDMI switching issues? Last Onkyo I had went in for repair 3 times. All due to faulty HDMI boards.

If it did it wasn’t Dirac, the RZ50 doesn’t include DLBC either. I’m actually glad Denon/Marantz doesn’t make you pay for Dirac unless you wanted to. As good as Dirac is Audyssey’s XT32 +...

Crossovers basically dictates speakers bass frequency limit and where subwoofer takes over. None of the current Pioneer/Onkyo AVR’s include Diracs bass management control(DLBC) and most likely...

Gotcha, I guess I'll just have to try it out. I did read some posts on a forum where they said Dirac did flatten their subs on the RZ50 which has the same version of Dirac as the 7100. So I thought...

If that were true I’m pretty sure it would state it has Dirac + DLBC. It would negate single or multiple DLBC option also. The confusion is the belief that Dirac Live s integration of the...

If you're talking about Dirac Live Bass Control, yeah it's doesn't include that which adds support for multiple subs and more fine tuning, that would have limited use on these AVR's because of the...

I did a decent amount of research and the biggest complaint about dirac was it didn't do sub correction which made it itself in a lot of people's minds. The much higher prices models apparently have...
