This is literally the reason why everyone thinks storage devices die. If you are on laptop or desktop and power cuts out, a few corrupt files can give you the BSOD. People interpret as dead drives....

The PNY CS1030 has low enough endurance ratings and no specified flash type. So it could be QLC too. At least with the 670p you know you're getting QLC.
