Typically you would make your boot drive and your storage seperate... unless you only have 1 drive connector. Use this for os, use something better for storage.

Not sure if people have noticed this, but drives with longer warranty (say 5 year?) almost always have lower *rated* tbw. Probably a trick by manufacturer to avoid warranty

For that build it would make no difference. It was an extremely basic build where they couldn’t even notice the speed difference. At the time I got the cheapest 1TB I could find, was $47 back then....
