Anyone know if this or something like it can be used to grind peppercorns? I know there's spice grinders out there, but most of them have very small hoppers.

Yes, it will work, but I bought a small bag of pre-ground espresso coffee and there's a huge difference in the grind, even on the finest setting.

If i have the barista pro, would the only logical upgrade be something like a DF64 or comparable?

This has conical burr. For espresso you need flat burr.

I was able to price-match at Target (I had both Amazon & Best Buy pulled up on my phone, cashier didn't care which one; noticed their computer system for price matching had Amazon listed - which is...

I use the finest setting and I find it does a good enough job. One expresso machine has a 15 lb pump and the other is steam driven.

went through 2 Krups grinders (never lasted more than 3 years) and 4 years ago I purchased this one. So far so good.

Best way I've found is to snap the grounds collector on and off several times after the grinding is complete. This will usually free up the majority of those trapped grounds. I have read that...

I own this. The Bartiza Encore is often toted as the gold standard for value:performance in coffee grinding. The OXO is probably a step below that, although some consumers have reported that they...

Yup, not just this but it is also not nearly precise enough either. It also keeps a massive amount of grinds inside before they get to the dose cup so small weights end up being half old grinds and...

I highly recommend a good manual grinder as an “upgrade”. Any of the mid range grinders from brands like Kingrinder, 1Zpresso, Timemore or Normcore will have much better grind consistency- and hence...

The reviews are mixed because the OXO gets right to the edge of fineness for espresso. I own this and a Eureka at 4x the price. The OXO can handle most double shots and most "oily" beans like...

Coffee is about it, spices are probably better ground in a bladed grinder (like your vitamix) that you can clean well. This will be nearly impossible to clean well enough (or at least too much of a...
