I have this laptop it is an Asus not Acer. It is very delicate and you have to be gentle with it since it is lightweight. I never took mine off S mode. I do experience some overheating problems.

Up to you. My current and last laptops (Lenovo and Dell) had custom connectors for charging, but I always charged using usb-c. I don't even know where my original charger is.

I would take this: for larger storage and Windows. But Chromebook usually supports USB-C charging, if this is a factor to consider. Very unlikely considering this is an entry-level laptop....
