Austin Air is medical/industrial grade not consumer grade so CR by definition doesn’t even include them. That said, they’re highly regarded as one of the best you can buy,

The marketing material for air purifiers can be a bit confusing in that they often quote coverage amounts in square footage (ie surfaces) vs cubic feet (ie volume); you may have to dig a bit to find...

Air mixes itself through entropy, it will work fine. If you have dead spots in the house, buy 2.

Can anyone advise if these would work in rooms with tall vaulted ceilings? My living room essentially goes up to the ceiling of the 2nd floor because the stairs from the living room lead up to an...

Got the 400s last year at this price. Don’t really use the smart features much but the air purifier (400) is awesome. I sleep a lot better with it on. If you want a better deal, get 2-3 of the...

More small units is better than 1 big one in most cases. They work better if you keep them in a small room where you work. If you do a whole house, 2 units on opposite ends also work better...

Yeah, cooking anything with oil is kinda nuts. Back in the spring, I picked up our first air purifier primarily for pollen allergies. One day, when I was cooking steak on the stove, I started getting...

So from what you're saying I could get two Winix 5500-2 units and that setup would perform better than the Coway 300? When is the sale ending? I don't want to miss out on either sale by hesitating.

I just got my amazon air monitor, and I tested some stir frying. The pm2.5 goes crazy high. The meter is only rated to read 500ug/m3, but it recorded 5,000+ when stirfrying with the range hood...

The newer Coway Mighty's (like the 1512HHS) also have the activated charcoal filters (not the charcoal mesh.) In either case, if youre running them 24/7, the activated charcoal on these dont last...

The build quality on the 400 (that's been humming away beautifully for a year) is superb.

Those CFM ratings are only applicable in emergency situations, when firesmoke is @ your door, they're so loud, it's utterly unusable otherwise.. In all other situations, more smaller units spread...

One main difference though is that the 300/400's have a better carbon filter. The smaller coways have just the carbon cloth style filter that basically does nothing. I also think "only 40%" sounds...

I dont think the 300s/400s are a good buy in all honesty. Despite being twice the price of the smaller Coway Mighty, the 300 only has a 40% higher CFM than the Mighty; the 400 is only 70% higher CFM....

I mean, from another point of view, it is a just sample of two units and may have been a bad batch, though I did buy them about 3 months apart. So 🤷🏼 ♂️ - also, do you get free returns? I did when I...

I was comparing these too. One note is that the 400 seems to be pretty massive in size. If you're putting it in a small bedroom keep that in mind. (even the 300 is pretty big)

Anyone else have feedback on the 300 vs the 400? I was about to pull the trigger on the 300 then I saw this post. Grrrrr

I wanted to buy one of these for my living room with vaulted ceilings but wasn’t sure if it was better than purchasing two mighty or winix like recommended here:...

I'd recommend the 400 series instead (which also goes on sales often enough) - I attempted to buy one of these (300) twice, but each had a fan that made too much noise for a bedroom (as if off...
