All depends on how small the caliper is. I have a 6" clamp and it has worked on every car for past 30yrs. You may get by with a good 5" but a 6 is a safer bet.

I have to agree with you 100%. I just received 4x of these clamps today and 2 of them have sticky threads at some portion of the trave. The other two are OK. Pretty lame to have a 50% garbage...

Depends on the car and the caliper size but this would work for only a very small subset of compact vehicle for this purpose.
