We took delivery just last week on this fridge from Lowes. If it helps, the door handles come off so installers added them to the fridge when they got the fridge into place.

Yeah. I've had the same experience with Bosch and Whirlpool. Bosch seems to be well made, but my guess is they're using new or untested designs because their appliances aren't very repairable....
