Get a 3 cups Panasonic rice cooker for about 35 and it has way better quality than this.

Out of all my appliance, the rice cooker is used at least a couple of times a week. Rice always comes out perfect with minimal effort.

If you buy this cooker, I highly recommend you to watch this video which explains the important steps to perfectly cook rice, https://youtu.be/r8E1MluqEL4

I have a Zojirushi and it's fantastic, makes perfect rice every single time. Any variety of rice. Once my wife and I became empty nesters we got a smaller cheap 1-2 cup rice cooker since we didn't...

That nonstick coating is toxic. Toss that

You’d be a lot cooler if you did. I have a Zojirushi. And before that I was using a pot and stove. It’s awesome. Cooks the best rice I’ve ever made at home. I’ll say that if you want to enter the...

2.8 / 5 on Oster's own website, where it has more 1-star reviews than 5-star! It shows a high rating on Target because they "slipstreamed" (basically bait-and-switched) this product in place of...

Cool story. As someone who browses multiple thrift stores regularly, I have never seen a Zojirushi and only rarely seen an old rice cooker with the non-stick scratched up. I congratulate you on a...

Zojirushi tends to cook (much) slower if time matters.

Agreed. I just meant that if you eat rice on a weekly basis, the improvement in quality is definitely worth it. But I'm sure everyone values their rice differently.

Of course a zojirushi is a better option but you're talking spending 10x this price so it's not really in the realm of comparison. The rice is def not 10x better when using it

Not sure how you have soggy rice at the bottom and dry on top. We have only owned cheap basic rice cookers that lasts for years and years with the same consistent result. Also, I get the same result...

I've had this rice cooker for years and have never had that issue. I don't even see how that's possible with the way the heating element is on this thing.

Based on reviews, it no longer comes with ceramic coating but teflon apparently? From a review "The older ceramic non stick was way better. The diamond one appears to be Teflon and is absolutely...

I find the instant pots (disclaimer: I don't have an instapot brand but have had 2 along the same lines) get it wrong sometimes because they just have a preset rice time. I've had a variety of...

I see lots of options on Amazon in the range of $17-22. Sold by Amazon and with good reviews. Is this really a better option?

Does it have aluminum or stainless steel pot?

If you eat rice regularly, then investing in a higher end cooker from Zojirushi, Tiger, or Cuckoo would be worth it. Whenever I’d use these cheaper cookers, the bottom of the bowl would collect soggy...
