It's not summers you need to worry. Garage ready is more for winters where the room temp gets cold enough that it doesn't trigger thermostat to run and your freezer thaws as a result

Not all freezers are created equal. 11 cu ft has a terribly small compressor. To top it off, manual defrost? Think "heck no". Hard pass.

This plugs into any normal 3-wire 115V house outlet. The manual says it needs to be on a 10A circuit. Just don't use an extension cord (which is also true for any refrigirator).
