Not for this price, if it was $50-$100 more then a regular drill then yes. In the next 5-10 years the hammer might come into use for concrete, hard to beat for $79.

Hammer mode is only useful for concrete? So for general home use this is probably overkill?

Concrete, only time you would use the hammer mode on the drill. Will do wood or metal just shot off the hammer mode.

You will have to change stores to find one at that price. Most around me are reg price. A few have it at $79, not many

Should be more than fine for 1/4” or so holes maybe even 3/8”. Probably not the best to do 100 back to back but for a few here and there it should work awesome.
