I've also been burned by fake NGK Iridiums on Amazon. From what I heard, rockauto.com's supply of NGKs are good. After I got burned, nowadays I pick up my plugs from napa locally.

Me too. It was fake NGK from Amazon like this one, stated double iridium. No more auto-parts from Amazon!! (burnt with fake Mitsutoyo Caliper as well, this one, at least will not damage...

Same thing happened to me on Ebay. I noticed before I installed them though. Fake plugs can destroy your engine. It is not worth the risk.
