If you cover the blade in Frog Tape, it will eliminate a lot of the bleed through. But if you're doing a long section, you might as well use the Frog Tape to tape off the surface.

This is fine to wedge under baseboards to protect flooring. But use tape on top of the baseboard or for crown molding and straight lines.
