Pretty sure it's the opposite. Down is more fragile. Anyway, the comparison is against the kindercones, which when stored in its built in sack is fine.

Pretty sure down is more tolerant to being compressed than synthetic. Both should be stored uncompressed ideally but down would sustain less damage than synthetic. You're definitely right about...

One point of clarification on insulation required under you. Camping in early Autumn on a 50F night is different than a 50F night in Spring due to the ground temperature. The warmer ground in...

All depends on the weather. Inflatable beds provide surprising little insulation and can be quite cold. If it's >60f at night, that won't matter. If its much colder and you're car camping, a thick...

Were you able to checkout with pick-up in store? Mine doesn't allow me to do that either.

This is a good deal for what looks to be a good product. Just over 2 lbs and packs small, so it's looking like a good piece for backpacking. I'm hoping my 3 year old will actually sleep in it as he...

You seem like the best person here to ask. How do I really know if my down sleeping bag is no longer good (without actually sleeping out on a 30 degree night? Mine is several years old and got a LOT...

Perfect for Cub Scouts / Early Boy Scouts and cheap enough to use for a couple years without breaking the bank. The bags most parents send their kids with don't keep them warm. The usual bags...

This is great, it's worth point out the kindercone is easier to store and clean. Down bags pack smaller, but have to be stored uncompressed with nothing on top of them. Our kindercones are just...

Great sleeping bag, my gf has the women version and it’s really warm for the price. Comfort rated to 22*f and packs down reasonably small. I would spend a little more and get the magma 15. The woman...

The kindercone is made with synthetic insulation which is heavier and doesn't pack down as small. On the plus side, synthetic will insulate much better if it gets wet. All else being equal, they...

The kindercone is synthetic insulation and doesn’t stuff to nearly as small as the one in this deal. If you are car camping may not be a huge issue but it’s worth noting, especially if you have...

Convenient, but not at all necessary. A down bag like this one is nice for size and weight relative to the warmth it provides, but if size and weight aren't a concern because you're pulling up to...
