1080p on a 27" is perfectly fine. if u see big pixels it's most likely because you are too close to your monitor. Move it back a few inches and you will be in good shape. I wouldn't go any higher...

To get around that, make an online order for instore pickup and just buy one when you walk in. Don't give them a number or anything to look you up for the 2nd one.
I do this for cpu and laptop...
