If you watched the video, you'd actually see that the Lenovo and Skytech are actually about the same GPU temp wise, and the HP is only 4 degrees cooler, which, in my opinion, is within margin of...

Why? We all make dumb decisions and learn from them. That's why. I got into mining and at the time it was by far the best way to get into it considering the sky-high GPU prices. I bought 14 rigs...

Just curious: why do you choose to own so many proprietary builts if you don’t recommend them here … When it comes to personal experiences, we can find people who hates Skytech too. But it...

Reference? I own/owned 8 dell rigs with their GPUs. Six 1660 Supers and two 3060TIs. I also owned two HP 3090s (which were by far the worst of the bunch).

Any references on the proprietary 4090 being terrible in terms of performance or temperature?

But you're conveniently skipping over the elephant in the room. Dell and Lenovo use their own GPUs that are terrible. Always bad fans, always bad paste/pads, etc. Fans and SSDs are replaceable....

What do you expect? It’s not like they’re going to use a Maximus Apex or Maximus Hero Z790 board. The target consumer for prebuilts usually wouldn’t know. Besides if they did they’d have to add...
You do realize the Lenovo deal posted recently has the exact same cooling setup, with 3 fans on the front, one on the back and none on top, right? Edit: I was wrong, but I'll leave the comment and...

It actually has worse cooling than the Lenovo and HP 4090 prebuilt with only four fans and three intakes on radiator and one rear exhaust. The SSD inside is also slower than the Lenovo and HP...

My theory is just they are saving money as much as possible. A lowest-end Z690-a or Z790-p board, a SSD slower than most prebuilts in this price point (see youtube review from Just!N Tech), and one...

yup, weird how there are no fans up top.

Then go for a Lenovo or Hp 4090 built. They tends to have better cooling than this Skytech built. This one has only four fans (three intakes on front radiator and one exhaust) and the 4090 is...

A balls to the wall prebuilt. The assumption is probably that it only needs to run fine with shipped config, they don't assume the person buying this is going out after and swapping ram/wants to add...

It's about upgradability. If I only care about performance out of box and will not upgrade anything in the future, Lenovo and HP prebuilt are probably good choices too. Going for the system...

Two reasons imo: (1) The reason I'll take a system integrator (like Skytech) prebuilt over a proprietary (Lenovo or HP) prebuilt is all about upgradability, especially the standard motherboard...

Z790 does faster ram and has way more pcie lanes. If it's a 690, what a dumb move. Its hardly any price difference. For a balls to the wall build, yesteryears mobo doesn't cut it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGTI3Gijkf0 Found this, which shows there's no performance difference between a z690 and z790 on a 13900k, if that's what the issue is.
I tried to find my own answer here via google and couldn't find anything. Why is this a deal breaker? I used to build computers, but I haven't been too well versed in hardware in the last few years.

From the customer uploaded picture I can kind of see (after zooming in as much as possible) the motherboard is probably a MSI Pro Z690 broad ... I'm OK with a low end board like MSI pro series, but...

This is the best deal I've seen for a ultra high-end prebuilt that doesn't have Dell and Lenovo proprietary garbage inside. Let the sheep downvote it all they want for being more expensive than those...
