Got this back when it was $30. I also have a Genki and both work identically and flawlessly. If I had to say, this is probably a ripoff of Genki, but at 1/3 the price, but otherwise the same.

Not uncommon. Most USB-C dock/breakouts with HDMI will not work with the Switch. Make sure a given USB-C to HDMI device either mentions DP or the Switch.

I bought the black/white from the same seller and it’s still working fine (no issues when I was using it). I only use for traveling or when I have to use the switch on a TV without the official dock.
