Did you set your source to output as PCM? My TV and Fire Stick were set to output Dolby as default. I had zero output until I changed to PCM on my sources.

Yes I did. In fact I did a soft reset via app. When that failed I did a hard reset using buttons. I made sure the correct input is lit and not muted. I'm guessing I got a defect and not user error.
