Same SSD i got SN740 from China somwhere. Hopefully it's legit and holds up. I noticed it getting pretty hot in an external enclosure. Popped a heatsink on it prior to going full bore in the Ally.

I've never had an issue with in store price match. However I never had tried to pricematch Asus. However i KNOW that people did do that for XG Mobile and had no issues.

I upgraded the SSD before even turning the Ally on. Got the Western Digital from Ali, and its been fast and perfect so far.

I continue to be happy with the Ally. Playing Talos Principle 2 now which is an UE5 game and getting above 60 FPS with FSR. I use a custom 18 Watt profile with a fan curve and it doesn't get very hot...

Not really unless you are buying the 64 gb refurb steam deck and upgrading the SSD. Go look at the SD 512 gb price, not remotely competitive to the Ally or Legion Go. And yes, the Steam interface...

I disagree, 30fps is fine for casual gaming, I actually intentionally limited games to max at 40 just for the battery life. Very short dips below 30 can be ok but I would agree if the average is less...
