The weight capacities are severely handicapped, meaning there is a HUGE safety factor. If you put 226lb on this it's not like it's going to fold in half. Apparently the rating is just ONE QUARTER...

Ladders capacities are 4 times what they say, so a 225 ladder is really 900 pounds. Ladder manufactures do this to cover their asses.

If you can't make the 225 lb at weight in before climbing the ladder, do what they do at Boxing and MMA ....... remove clothing until you pass before climbing up...

I'm 215lb wearing boots and heavy clothes, hardly out of the norm for men my age, especially at my height. A drill with big battery plus 5lbs of other tools or materials puts me at the weight limit....
