Waze will not save you. It helps. My Radar detector has saved me countless times and Waze, now and then. Waze assumes cops are parked and stationary.

Newer models have good filtering that stops 99% of the bsm false alerts. You can adjust it based on band and freq if you need to. Default has been good for me. I don't yell "effen Honda" anymore :D

Waze is Passive. (relies on someone's report) Radar detector is Active. (Relies on intercepting certain frequencies). Using both with common sense will avoid pullovers.
