I don't think this gains much more than rewards points over two 8GB sticks, but the 32GB was on sale 🤷🏼

Upgradable to at least 40GB. The soldered 8GB plus a 32GB DDR4-3200 G.Skill RipJaws had no problem.

If it's coming up as 20GB, then you have a bad RAM stick. 8+16=24, you should have 24GB.

Max ram and ssd? Is the TN panel really that bad? I have saw a TN panel for a lenovo chromebook a while back and the screen was really hard to look at compared to IPS.
