After even more digging... The laptop in this deal, which doesn't come with WWAN, is a model that starts with 21HM and if you search the replacement parts "As built" for wwan, it doesn't have the...

What specifically are you referring to? I see a few interesting comments, that seem to make sense to me: "However, the X1 Nano is not - either it has WWAN, or it lacks the antennas and SIM...

Unfortunately, after some digging it looks like they don't have either if the laptop doesn't come with a WWAN card from Lenovo. https://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=131977

I think it's reasonable to expect an antenna if it has a SIM slot, otherwise what is the point of the SIM slot?

I have used and abused a X1 Nano for the past 2 1/2 years from a previous deal. Running Linux and it has been super solid for an i7 under 2 lbs! The battery has gone to crap, I only get about 3...

Wish there was an option to add a WWAN card to this. Although I can buy it separately and pop it in, I don't believe the antennas would be there to make it "plug and play"

I had no idea, I thought I did my research when I purchased but I guess not enough. I just checked it the one I have is the Gen 9. Regardless, I don’t think the parts of the hardware (the key)...

People really should research more. The X1 Carbon is a reputable line up. You most likely have the Gen 10, which was considered one of the worst generations in the X1 Carbon line. The reason being...

I read a pro review test that said the OLED screen is a huge drain on battery. Get the 100% sRGB 400 nit non-touch screen. That will give you the best battery life while producing a good quality...

It’s not that bad. It’s FHD with 100%sRGB and 400 nits. For a 14”, higher resolution is a waste and drain on battery IMO.
