So true... and six months in you have the added bonus of a nice country antique look with flaking paint... if that is your cup of tea. Tried it and it did not work/last with heavy use.

Go get a rattle can of matte clear coat and spray it yourself for like $5. You can then do everything you want so they can match. You're never stuck with just what you buy and never modifying it...
