As much as that comment makes me laugh, I don't really think it's THAT true. At the same time, I doubt that it matters in terms of quality. If you've got a good guitar tech, you've got a good guitar...

In my experience the quality is similar these days. It’s either made in America by Mexicans or made in Mexico by Mexicans. The hardware is slightly different and 21 vs 22 frets but they are great...

That is probably because they are only an authorized showcase dealer and shouldn't sell Fender products online. Most likely, they sold the guitar online as "Used" but record it as a new in-store...

I got a good laugh out of this the other day. A store on reverb sent me a DM letting me know the "used mint" guitar I was looking at was new and had a full factory warranty. :applause:

He was 12 when I bought it. It's a full-size guitar so I think as long as your child is approaching adult/teenage size it will be fine. And this is a guitar that will last them up until they decide...

My "new" dark night am pro ii Stratocaster was a return. I found out by opening up the neck pocket and finding a badly created shim which was clearly not from the factory. I think someone was trying...

I don’t think they are b stock. Mine came in practically perfect condition. I think this is just a rumor because they routinely sell this color (LPB) at a discount. Otherwise you see many more colors...

They can put any MSRP they want on MIM Fender, but it would be a hard sell in current market. I can see used MIA strats in ~$1000 range on local FB marketplace from time to time, regular MIM strats...

IMHO we will not see crazy low prices across the board. There will be deals here and there, but overall prices went up substantially. Have you looked at MSRPs of most guitar makers? MSRP for Fender...

"Current Market" isn't that hot for several months now. You can get MIJ Fender Aerodyne for $600, arguably new, but sold as "Used Mint" to protect the seller. I didn't pay much attention to pre-covid...

They’re supposed to do these things. In my recent experience, it’s a crapshoot if they do, especially on mass-produced instruments. Automation has made a lot of it simple, but only if someone skilled...

They most definitely do set neck relief (simple truss rod adjustment), string height, and intonation at the factory. I am not sure what happened here. The line under the finish makes me think at...

“QC” doesn’t mean the same to those who made it, probably. They don’t do any of that stuff like neck relief or intonation. At best they tune it to pitch and check the electronics work. Professional...

In my case it wasn't a matter of a not great setup, it was clearly no setup at all. If they had set it up at the factory, the truss rod wouldn't have been completely loose. Also, if it was just off...

Not "bowed" meaning warped, just what you would expect from a guitar that was shipped across several extremes of temperature and humidity with no truss rod to stabilize it.

If I hadn't seen a post about someone who bought this guitar from this deal on reddit, I wouldn't believe you. lol. The squier affinity I bought from adorama last year was pretty good, and the fender...

They typically don’t do great setups at the factory in this price range. Even at the bargain US-made price range. Expect to have to do that even with a new Gibson or USA Fender these days. That’s why...

Yes, it's really not hard at all to do, although there is some expense for the tools. One benefit of an inexpensive guitar is you're not afraid to learn how to do setups. I learned on a $125 Harley...
