They have a safety %. Built in im a little over 300 and have used ladders rated at 225 with no issues. Obviously id rather be on ladders rated at 300 but sometimes thats not an option. Personally id...

That may be true in this case, but you can't use that as a general statement. Usually tools are engineered just to spec, i.e. you don't over-engineer just to "be safe"; you have to stay competitive....

Realistically it will probably hold double what it’s rated for, it’s more than likely for lawsuit prevention. Now you can’t sue them if it breaks and you get hurt because it clearly says 225 weight...
