Lifetime.... Yeah right. Though Ridgid right? Pretty much anything you buy from Costco, with few exceptions, has a true lifetime guarantee, just bring it back to Costco and they refund you.

I do not recommend regular shop vac for ash. If you decide to go that route, I used to use a bag plus a canister filter. You'll still get ash blowing out of the exhaust but it'll be bearable.
