no pros to this over metal other than you don't want to scratch your expensive pan which really isn't an issue if you're not scraping the pan like a crazy person.

I'd guess the adhesive won't hold up, and the metal tips on the tongs are flat/straight...so won't hang onto the silicone.

Something doesn't seem right. Silicone is heat resistant to around 600 degrees. The spec on these say 425F which is typically for nylon tongs. Shipping on these now show between Dec 24 - Jan 17.
