Most people who use air poppers pour butter over the popcorn and get soggy/chewy corn. They could use less butter if they popped over the stove with ghee, and get an even distribution of flavor.

I bought a Whirley when I first started to home roast coffee but yeah it can pop popcorn too. it's not as convenient as microwave popcorn but healthier and tastier for sure.
