IMHO, water coolers are more quite then their fan equivalents. I've seen tests that show many fan coolers can work better... but again, they are going to have larger fans and those fans tend to ramp...

I suppose it depends on if you are going for performance or looks. So I suppose it would be worth it to many.

Actually a lot of the 13 and 14th gen Intel chips come from factory clocked very hot and generating a lot of heat. You can get away with air if you buy a Noctua, but a cheap little heatsink won't cut...

Not at all. Modern CPUs are already clocked close to their limits anyways. The days of regularly winning the silicon lottery are long gone. These coolers are super-stupid.

Yeah, and 360mm fans will need a monster of a case.

For the Intel 14700K a 240MM AIO (two fans, nominal thickness) is the minimum given the TDP. The Intel will thermal throttle at 100C for an individual core so you won’t be frying the chip by running...

I have this AIO (my first one) and love that it doesn’t have RGB lights. It’s pretty quiet but makes annoying pumping sound under load. It does it’s job very well though, on Ryzen 9.

Arctic coolers are great but I would highly suggest paying a bit more or waiting for another sale to get a 280mm setup (2x140mm fans) if your case can fit it. Seems like a small difference but the...

I have this cooler. Works great. Easy install. I love the toned down subtle look over obnoxious RGB lighting. My first AIO

For the vast amount of users out there, who use mid-tier systems, this isn’t needed. Really depends on the CPU you use in their lineup, as well as your use cases though. If you’re using the...

I have the 420mm. It feels like overkill, but I got it at a great price and it fits in my case, just barely. (Fractal Design Torrent) Case was designed for air cooling, but it just didn't cut it. I...

Thanks. I wasn’t aware that most cpus don’t include a factory cooler. I have not done any rebuilding for over 10 years now.

Is it this 240mm size? I got the 420mm a couple weeks ago and am really disappointed with how poorly it "fits" in a Meshify 2 case (depite advertising it fits 420mm rads). Was looking to return it...

240mm in general isn't behemoth. This cooler specifically is definitely thicker than a lot of the other options, though, so some might consider it beefy

Yeah, I tried a Noctua NH-D15 for my i9 (13th gen) and had to disable cores to keep it from overheating. Multiple resets and different thermal pastes later, I swapped it for an arctic freezer ii and...
