Ouch that doesn't sound good. Don't think there is really a hard reset on devices like this. Perhaps could try and disconnect and reconnect the battery (or at least make sure it's connected).

If you want PS2 don't get this device. It will (mostly) handle up to PS1, N64, and dreamcast but not higher. You'll want to look at the Odin 2 or RetroidPocket 4 Pro for PS2/Gamecube.

The Retroid Pocket 4 (base) is $150. Retroid and Ayn make solid devices. I have the Odin 2, it's great. Retroid Pocket devices are good bang for your buck.
