Yeah. I haven't done much research but really torn between this Metabo, the Dewalt that is YMMV that was linked here to one of my replies or the HF Hercules that seems to be a Dewalt knockoff. ...

Likewise, I just bit after using a small sliding 7.5" craftsman from a friend since starting. The compact design and front mounted handle/trigger is very appealing and when I checked a display model...

I pulled the trigger. Because it's a compact slider, I think it's more valuable to me. I'm just a DIY guy. This looks like a really good saw for the money. Kind of excited

meh, non-sliders are very cheap and easy to use. they are a good way to get started; after that get a small table saw for when you need some slide cutting. most of us will not need a better saw...

Both are more compact than the standard rail saws. Bosch has that crazy articulating arm and Metabo has the side rail that doesn't stick out the back. I've had the Metabo for about 3 years and love...

I have Dewalt 12” and 15A dual bevel miter saw which I have NOT used since I brought in 2018. As a true Slickdealer, should I buy this too?

Great saw. Ridiculously HEAVY. I’ve owned different brand 12” slider saws and this was the heaviest by far.

I have the older Hitachi version. It's been really great, but because of the weirdly shaped base and insert, you can't easily mount it to a table or clamp to it or easily add a zero clearance insert.

Damn it! I settled om the 10" single bevel two months ago. It's decent for what it is, but I really wish I would have held out for this deal.

You should be glad you didn't get the Bosch. The slider is great, but the platforms are not flat. If you put a straight edge across the platform, it will wobble. I tested on 6 GCM12SD, including one...

Great saw but the laser is a gimmick. No serious person would use the laser to cut anything precise. It might be helpful for “rough cuts” otherwise it’s useless.
