I had that issue also. After trying a few things I discovered it just didn't like that my email address was google.com. I switched it to my work email address and it worked.

I am glad your rebate was approved. It sounds as if less than 100% of them are. Once upon a time, I would have been able to deal with the hassle of mine not being approved.
