I tested both and they seem to work fine. HD refunded $75/ea after going back and forth so as long as everything works I'm pretty happy with that.

Ordered two. Both varying degrees of damage. One is caved in on the side and the other is dented in the corner. Not as bad as the one I ordered from walmart last year though.

these things are really quiet compared to a regular window shaker and much more efficient. If you have the need I highly recommend and as others have stated you can really cut down on the main AC...

FWIW I gave up searching for noise level comparisons (any searches always came up with random reddit threads complaining about different sounds) and just bought the $224.99 8,000 BTU version from...

Interested to know this as well. I have 2 8K's that I keep on like 10% fan speed in my bedrooms and I can barely hear them. Hoping the 12K is not too much louder at a low speed.

Yeah I'm going to do some reading online to see if anybody has compared the 10,000 vs 12,000 BTU units for sound. If it's the same or not much more than the 10K I have, I'll probably get the 12K and...

Do you know of any sources of actual db ratings for each of the models? I have the 10,000 BTU version of the Midea U in my living room in a small, open-concept house. It's cooling about 576...
