the charge/discharge cycle rating is an estimate based on the heat and how long (time) that heat is produced from said cycles.

Just wondering how limiting charge to 80% helps.
I think Batteries have a given number of charge and discharge cycles and reducing charge levels only help in killing the battery sooner.
