AC1300 code not valid. Dead?? EDIT: there is an error in the code that is automatically copied. Manually entered "33EBS6YT" and it worked.

this works with default network drivers both in recent linux and windows. no additional software required. i am getting around 280mbps on a 5GHz ac network, where as my AX200 get about 430 mbps....

To add to this, FWIW, "lsusb" on my system (Fedora 37) reports the AC1300 device as: "ID 0bda:b812 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL88x2bu " so I'm going to guess it's the same as the TechKey...

Note, as far as I can tell (I just bought an Archer USB wifi and wasted a couple hours trying to get it to work), there are no USB wifi dongles that work with Mac M1/M2/M3 chips. Also the one linked...

I don’t believe you have to use their driver, it is generic RTL8822BU, the driver they provide 3.00.0027 (?) is supposedly made (signed) by Karl Hsu, Realtek guy. You can sure get it somewhere else...

Looks like both the eBay one and the Amazon are Realtek 8812BU. Searching the word linux on Amazon comes up with a Ugreen answer to a Q about Linux Lite 32 bit that kernel 2.6.24-5.11 is compatible....
