Sort of but not really. This one comes with broadtron pickups which are closer to the PAF humbucker sound. For the true Gretsch sound you want Filtertron pickups.

These are the full size thick hollow body. The Gretsch G2622 and G2655 that commonly go on sale in this price range are the thinner semi-hollow body guitars.
