There is a difference in buying on Amazon and buying from Amazon. This is sold by Amazon not a 3rd party. Counterfeiting should not be an issue in this case

If those lower cost filters are not certified for NSF/ANSI 53 and also NSF/ANSI 401 then they are not comparable at filtering out contaminants.
