My 3rd grader reads these non stop. He just loves them. Our local library has plenty to keep him busy. Can't see any reason to spend money on books when they can mostly be had for free.

I'm glad she enjoys them. My 9 year old niece enjoyed them as well, but eventually discovered that reading them was actually bad for her mental health. I don't remember why that was, unfortunately.

Disagree. My son is now 13 and hasn’t read them in years but they definitely got him more interested in reading and that trumps any concern about potty humor for me.
