nad9 is a little older and uses ddr4 RAM, although it has 2 2.5 HDD/SSD bays that I really want on a newer AMD mini PC's.

barebone means there's no RAM and storage, you have to open it up and put it yourself.

Be aware that Minisforum doesn't support their products well. They put out fantastically spec'd systems in tiny sizes at great prices, but if you do anything like lose the custom mini SATA cables...

Not for pure CPU performance. But this has better integrated Graphics and USB4 port.
