I've been happy enough with the b650e taichi lite. it's 1" wider than atx though, just another detail to keep in mind.

agreed. 2 thunderbolt AND 2 pcie5x16 ports is pretty wild. I paid $255 for the B650e Taichi Lite, with only one of each of those ports, not even 6 months ago. that board is still $260 at newegg....

Maybe I should thank you for bringing that up. The Suprim X 4090 and Z690 Taichi indeed have smaller, lighter and stiffer back plate compared to MEG Z690 Ace. Oh, they have smaller PCB too.

Are you sure about Z690 Taichi Razer's back plate? Are you sure Ace is less likely bent than smaller mobos?
There are many ATX mobos feature 5 or more NVMe slots.
I didn't experience any SATA port...

Doesn't the "Razer Chroma RGB" plate restrict airflow to the M.2 slots? SSDs get quite hot during sustained writes so unless there's thermal conductivity to the plate I'd want unrestricted exposure....
