100% agree. I haver had 2 gazebos over the past 15 years. First 1 had a canvas top and eventually it ripped due to the sun. Even if you take them off each year - which is a giant PITA! I bought a new...

Main complaint on the reviews is that it doesn’t protect against rain. Guess it’s about expectations… I have seen the hard top gazebos go on sale at Lowe’s end of season for the past 3 years of that...

Paid $1473 for a 16'x12' galvanized hardtop last May. It was a mfer to put together but very happy with it.

As some others have said, it's really worth considering spending more for a hard top gazebo. Ours from costco has lasted over 8 years and is quite sturdy. It is bolted down into concrete and rated...

I like the sliding ones. It's just plain stetight fabric for sun blocking only not for snow or rain.

Some hard tops can be removed. Just not as easy as fabric. My neighbor had a fabric top gazebo, and they never maintained or removed it. Sure enough, it ripped apart. Now all there is left is the...

Appreciate the opinion. It sure is much lighter but then also less likely to damage or face resistence in wind. I figured thinner the columns less affect from wind. Top can also be opened if it rains...

I think it's flexibility. I prefer something I can open and close. The one I linked above seems perfect. I am thinking about getting that and buying 4 half cut barrels, screw the legs to barrels...

Also, there's the fact that the wood and aluminum gazebo sold at Costco is approximately 3X as much, but with proper maintenance will last decades. With this product, the lifespan will be...

I have. A sunbrella fabric car cover with a 6 year warranty. Replaced every year as it broke down and fell apart until the warranty ran out. I'm not buying any fabric exposed to 24/7 outdoor...

Hard top is better but will cost more. Fabric is good if the conditions are ideal. Not too windy, snowy, etc. I get heavy snow and hail once in a blue moon. So I wouldn’t expect it to last.

I don't think it would cost that much but it depends what kind you want. There has been huge popularity of those lever style steel top pergola. They are like shutters but I think many different...

I agree, but a hardtop gazebo would cost 4 times as much. And trust me, try Sunbrella fabric at least once. Mine looks very good after 8 years.

It's all about the quality of the Sunbrella fabric in the Southern California sun. It's the same fabric here. I have not tried to compare features in windy weather.

I'm in Socal and I'm lucky to have any fabric topped anything last 2 years. The cost to replace these fabric tops quickly exceeds the cost of the item itself. Buying anything with a fabric top is...
