Not for anything high power. But I know I've grabbed the wrong weight cable more than once.
The point remains, though: a 10 ft cable has its uses.

It is if you're connecting multiple cabs, or going from the pedal board to something else, or going from the guitar to the pedal board if the stage isn't big. Or. Or Or.

Mass production imports... I have the Legato and when it works it works really well but is prone to interference. I found they are great for jamming but I avoid them when recording.

The Kirlin Premium Plus cables are $2 cheaper on Amazon right now and have gold plated connectors and are a lower gauge wire (better transmission). I own several and they've always been great for me

I always just by Guitar Center brand Livewire cables. Whenever they go bad, you can just swap it out at the store free under lifetime warranty.

My own experience is that the big brand cables (Fender, D'addario, plus the exotic brands) hold up better at the plugs. I wouldn't pay $80+ for a typical length...
