It says it is adjustable from 8 to 32 amps, so if you can set it down to 12 amps, you are good. Of course, it depends it it will plug in. You probably need an adapter.

Code would only allow that if hardwired dip switches, I don't see that anywhere. trusting someone to limit on software or car everytime is foolish . and even though it says adjustable 8-32 it does...
