I got the stainless one for $18 on discount and it is perfectly fine. It makes you want a super expensive and extremely precise one but this measures to the hundredths just fine.

If accuracy matters at all, please do not buy $7 plastic calipers.
I've had a pair similar to these for almost 15 years and they still calibrate accurately on gauge blocks.

Genuine question. Why would you want calipers to measure fractions? You can use a Ruler or tape measure for that kind of accuracy.
