you literally need more than a thousand medals to get all weapons because you still have to use those medals in non-weapon items

I don't think HellDivers 1 has DRM--at least it doesn't mention one in the terms and conditions. It definitely doesn't have the nProtect GameGuard that HellDivers 2 has, which is explicitly mentioned...
