The Sega Ages version of Phantasy Star is excellent. The quality of life improvements made the game very enjoyable instead of something you had to suffer through. Can’t recommend it enough.

Alex Kidd is also worth it, it's a great game (hard but great) and they did add some extra stuff that is worth it.

Yes! I've played Phantasy Star on the Master System, on the GBA, and on the Switch. The Switch quality of life improvements like automapping makes it the best way to play this game.
