Personally, I think Brondell Swash CS1000 is the way to go. I own 2 and have given many for housewarming gifts. None have broken thus far. 5+ years of daily use on my first one. Still works...

This seat didn't last for me. In less than 6 months, both hinges broke, and the side buttons on the remote broke. The swash 1000 is much better made (my 1000 hasnt had any issues in 4 years).
