There is this appliance guy on YT (Ben's Appliances and Junk) who does comparisons, teardowns and gives his thoughts on appliances. I watched a few of his heatpump washer/dryer videos and am headed...

I've owned this exact GE washer dryer for 8+ months. I love it. We put clothes in, we get dry clothes out. It takes about 2.5-3 hours per load. But it's awesome. Highly recommend.

I don't PERSONALLY have experience with it, but the reviews I read said the washing is as good, and the drying is roughly as fast as a standalone. Your total THROUGHPUT if you are on top of things...

appears you can add an upright freezer to the linked LG set (without pedestals) and total remains $1899, basically making it free: Hamilton Beach 11 cu. ft. Upright Freezer with Drawer...

So the technology has drastically improved recently. Thank you! Good to know. How is this w/d combo? Does it work as good as a separate dryer and washer? Thank you for the clarification!

The tech on these much like the tech on heat pumps in general has improved dramatically the past 5-10 years which is probably why they are just now coming to America. Europe needed the space savings...
