Might be those drain hose from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal all full of gunk. Smell the sink drain when it happens, to see if it is coming from there. Maybe have to remove the drain hose...

Just put couple of tablespoons of citric acid in the bottom or the soap dispenser and run a cycle. You can buy Citric acid in bulk. Similarly for clothes washer too.
